Technology in Business Case Competition

Aims

The Competition aims to provide participants with:

  • A good understanding of the significance of business education in the digital age

  • Hands-on experience of using technologies to solve real-world business problems

  • An understanding of the disciplines of studies offered by the Faculty of Business, PolyU, properly known as PolyU Business School.

 

Highlights

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet with and learn from executives of a Fortune Global 500 company. In particular, they will:

  • Learn how to leverage technology advancements to solve a business challenge related to the company

  • Meet executive(s) from the local branch of the company

  • Develop a proposal for the company's business challenge and receive instant feedback

  • Join dedicated technology training

  • Win a cash prize



Eligibility

We encourage local and non-local students who are in the following years of studies in 2024/25 to join our Competition individually or in teams:

  •  Secondary 4 or 5

  • Grade 10 or 11 (US System)

  • Year 11 or 12 (UK System)

  • Senior high school year 1 or 2 in the Chinese Mainland

Important note:

Eligible students can either join the Competition individually or in teams. Each student can only join one team, but schools can enter multiple teams without restrictions.

There are two stages of competition. Only those successfully complete all the tasks in Stage 1 can enter Stage 2. For contesting teams, all members must successfully complete all the tasks in Stage 1 in order for the teams concerned to enter Stage 2.
