Each student can only join one team, but schools can enter multiple teams without restrictions.There are two stages of competition. Only those successfully complete all the tasks in Stage 1 can enter Stage 2. For contesting teams, all members must successfully complete all the tasks in Stage 1 in order for the teams concerned to enter Stage 2.

The competition aims to cultivate students’ observation skills, problem-solving abilities, and creative thinking. By utilising STEM knowledge and skills, participants are encouraged to address social issues and suggest for improvement within their daily life. Students can design a product applicable to the society using techniques such as microcontroller programming, 3D printing, and prototyping to create a quality life.

The objective of “Safe Spaces For All” Anti-Sexual Harassment 60-Second Video Contest is to promote public awareness and education on creating sexual harassment-free environments where everyone feels secure and respected. The Contest encourages creative storytelling to emphasise the importance of zero tolerance for sexual harassment, empowering individuals to contribute to safe communities.

The “Hong Kong Secondary Student Space Station Popular Science Payload and Science Experiment Design Challenge” is co-organised by the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Technology and Engineering Center for Space Utilization, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, in support of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technological Affairs, the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, along with partner organisations including the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre, the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers, and the Education Convergence.The challenge aims to promote aerospace education, deepen students' understanding of the country's achievements in the aerospace area, and strengthen their confidence in science and technology. Award-winning and selected proposals have opportunities to be realised and developed into final products, and would be recommended to the space station space mission and Space Station Hong Kong Popular Science Satellite Project, to commence in 2026.

“Let’s Go Well-being Chak On” is a design competition for an inclusive “Well-being for All” space to be built at Chak On Estate, Sham Shui Po. This space is envisioned as a vibrant, inclusive area that fosters health, vitality, and community engagement for residents of all backgrounds, ages, and genders.To promote Well-being Design Guide, the Housing Bureau and the Hong Kong Housing Authority aim to engage young designers and students using Chak On Estate as a pilot to explore different well-being opportunities in our public housing estate. Aims / ObjectivesThe Greater Bay Area STEAM Excellence Award (HKSAR) has been organized by Hong Kong New Emerging Technology Education Association (HKNETEA) since 2019 with the objective to enhance students’ creativity and innovation, and recognise young STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) talents for their efforts, while recognizing the dedication of schools and teachers for their outstanding work and commitment to STEAM education.DetailsThe competition will be divided into streams : Kindergarten, Primary School, Secondary School, Tertiary and Postgraduate. Students can choose to participate in either individual or small groups of no more than five persons. In addition, there will be a Top 10 STEAM Teacher Award and Top 10 STEAM School Award.There are eight categories of The 7th Greater Bay Area STEAM Excellence Award 2025 (HKSAR):Artificial Intelligence,Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)Life and Health,New Materials and New Energy,Robotics,Science Laboratory,Science Video andRotary Water PurificationApart from our past categories, the following new categories are introduced :Life and Health: expect innovative projects addressing health challenges. This includes research on renewable energy sources, energy-efficient technologies, and environmentally friendly materials.Science Video: engaging, informative videos that effectively communicate scientific concepts. To enhance the public's understanding of the "Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance" (Cap. 390)To promote healthy use of the Internet and encourage youngsters to stay away from obscene and indecent materials through design activities

"Healthy Student Drama Contest 2024-25" aims to promote the culture of healthy drama, enhance youngster's understanding of the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance (Cap. 390), and say no to objectionable information through performing drama by youngsters with imagination and creativity.

Safety Quiz is an event co-organised by the Occupational Safety and Health Council and Labour Department aiming to arouse the OSH awareness of employees and students through quizzes. Safety Quiz consists of three categories, including School, Enterprise, and Community / Union categories.The deadline for enrolment is 17 January 2025 (Friday).
